Ex cdt SSgt Ellie Brewer makes history

-
Ex cadet SSgt Ellen Brewer (19) made history as the youngest member of the RAF involved in the Royal Wedding.
As Air Force personnel lined the route between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey Ellen’s proud family watched the action on TV at a street party back in Birmingham. Sixty volunteers from the RAF were put through their drill movements on the parade square at RAF Halton in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, to prepare for their big role
Ellen, a senior aircraftman based at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire, said: “It’s pretty exciting, I think it’s one of the best things that can happen during your career, to be part of such a historic event “I passed out of Halton in June, so it was only recently I’ve done all this – practising our arms drill and then also practising the actual sequence of events that are going to happen.
“My mum is really excited, so is my nan, they’re really really happy for me to be doing it. They’re all going to be watching.
“My mum is going to a street party in Birmingham, so they’ll be watching on TV there.”
