Cdt CSM Adam Blakemore receives the HQ Land ACF Certificate of Good Service

On Wednesday 15 April a Ceremony for Cdt CSM Adam Blakemore was held at Wolseley House TAC, Wolverhampton.

The Commandant Col CTJ Harris TD JP attended the Ceremony to award CSM Blakemore with the HQ Land Certificate of Good Service.


Adam, 18, who joined the ACF in 2003 is currently training to be a Royal Marine Commando and is looking forward to returning for his week seven training.
He has been involved with the Army Cadet Force for the last six years and during this time has been thoroughly committed giving 100% to the ACF and taking all of the opportunities offered to him.

 

Cdt CSM Adam Blakemore recieves the HQ Land Certificate of Good Service

CSM Blakemore has represented his Company in every March and Shoot, and Military Skills competition at County and Brigade level. He took part in the County Annual Drill Competition for the last three years and in sport he represented the County in orienteering, athletics and cross country competitions. He has also taken part in numerous shooting competitions, culminating in shooting for the County in the Inter Services Cadet Rifle Meet at Bisley in 2006 and 2007.


Amongst CSM Blakemore’s many individual accomplishments are Best Cadet on the Junior Cadet Instructors’ Cadre, runner up on the Senior Cadet Instructors’ Cadre and qualifying as a classified signaller and as a National Rifle Association skilled shot. He was runner up on the Cadet Leadership Course which qualified him with an immediate pass on the Master Cadet Course at Cadet Training Centre, Frimley and was selected for the Champion Cadet Competition, where he was placed tenth out of the top twenty Master Cadets in the United Kingdom.

The Commandant stated  ‘Cadet CSM Adam Blakemore is an exceptional young man and I had no reservation in recommending him for consideration for the award of the HQ LAND ACF Certificate of Good Service’.
