Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot is a flying success!
A clay pigeon shoot organised by Friends of Staffordshire & West Midlands (North Sector) Army Cadet Force proved to be a huge success raising more than £3,000 to provide additional finance to help young cadets aged 12 -18 to fulfil their potential.
The shoot took place at Doveridge Shooting Ground near Uttoxeter on Saturday morning and involved 17 teams, including 3 Army teams and 2 teams of young Army Cadets. Cheadle Clay shoot cdt winner.jpg)
Cadet Callum Buckley (13) from Cheadle was awarded the highest score from the two cadet teams, and was also a member of the winning cadet team.
Col Graham H Stow CBE DL, Friends Trustee, said: “This is the first clay pigeon shoot we’ve organised and we are eternally grateful to all of our sponsors for helping to make this a very successful event.
I would like to offer a special thank you to Lt Colonel Ged Argyle and his Army teams who gave valuable advice, support, and assistance to the young cadets and novice members of participating teams during the day.”.
